Standards - Tools for SCORM
3rd Party Tools

The ADL Team is pleased to announce the availability of a new collaboration forum. This forum can be used by the ADL Community to share tools that are implementing solutions that support the SCORM. The collaboration forum, entitled SCORM 3rd Party Tools, has been created to facilitate dissemination and discussion of these tools and utilities. This forum is open to anyone having a SCORM-related software tool, utility or component that they wish to share with the ADL Community.

A new thread to the SCORM 3rd Party Tools forum must be added for each individual or organization wishing to contribute a tool, utility or component. The title should be in the following format: Title of SCORM 3rd Party Tool - Vendor name. For example, SCORM Version 1.2 Sample Run-Time Environment Version 1.2.1 - ADL.

Additionally, please include the following information when contributing a tool:
  • Title of the SCORM 3rd Party Tool
  • Description of the SCORM 3rd Party Tool
  • Vendor/Contributor Name
  • Contact e-mail address
  • ReadMe file (Note: The ReadMe may be attached to the thread provided if it does not exceed 5MB. The ReadMe should address areas such as how to install and use the tool.)
  • A Link to the SCORM 3rd Party Tool.
Those within the ADL Community are encouraged to give the provided tools a try and provide comments regarding their use. It is requested that comments be added to the same thread as the tool being commented on.
